Yea Lefrak and South Side used to connect on the drug side and yea it was a bit wild in those times but then they had a big bust arresting over 300 of the top soldiers and after that things began to clean up.

My grandmother lived in LeFrak City for awhile back in the mid to late 60s. I remember running around the twisting hallways of the place, and in fact, as a 7- or 8-year-old, it seemed like I was the only one who could find his way around! Place seemed peaceful way back then ... but from I've read over the past few years about it, those hallways must be pretty menacing now.

back in the 60's, that's when the place was brand new it was populated by very different people, and it was fairly decent, by the 80's it had turned into just another project

I Hate Lafrak city Apartments. Some apartments are extremly heated up. The the noise from the highway is constantly disturbing. The heat in my apartment was 82 degrees. The management is worst they do nothing about the problems and they are very rude. The building itself is very dirty.

I was living there for 4 months and i moved out. I suggest no one to ever rent apartment in lefrak city. Its hell.
