point to point direction from Cherry Hill, New Jersey to Fordham University
We will be visiting Fordham University. Can anyone give me point to point directions from Cherry Hill to Fordham using public transportation ~ what would be the most direct and less expensive way to go... thanks for any help you can give me.

I don't know what trains go from Cherry hill to NY but once you are in Penn Station you can walk over to Grand Central and take the metro North to Fordham Station
I don't know exactly what you are asking but i can give you directions by car if you want

I'm sorry,
I read your post too quickly. From penn Station you can walk to 6th Avenue and take the D train uptown to Fordham rd and the Concourse and walk or take the 9 or 12 bus to the University
From the port Authority you can do the same thing

I don't think there's really a direct way getting there, but I'll give it a shot.
Take the NJ Transit Atlantic City branch from Cherry Hill station to Atlantic City, and take the NJ Transit bus route number 319(from the Atlantic City bus terminal, there's also Greyhound buses to 42nd St. as well) that takes you directly to the 42nd St. Port Authority Bus terminal. From the PABT, there will be signs guiding you to the subway station. Once you're in, take the 7 train to 5th Av., one stop away. From that station, transfer to the "Uptown & the Bronx" bound D train and get off at Fordham Rd. station in the Bronx and walk about 4 blocks east to your destination.
Knowing what day of the week you plan to go will help much more.

Fordham university has 3 campuses - fordham rd in the Bronx, Cherry Hill and Lincoln Center in Manhattan. Cherry hill and Fordham road can be reached via metro north. fordham rd can be reached via D subway or private fordham uni shuttle from Lincoln Center

I'll do one better -
Using Greyhounds E-ticket: NYPHLR
Get's you a 26$ round trip ticket from Philly (10th & filbert in Chinatown) to Port Authority in NYC.
You can take NJT into Philly - Get the Greyhound to PA Bus Term - TAKE The A Train Uptown from 42nd to either 59th, 125th, or 145th and Transfer to the D to Fordham road and you'll have a free transfer to the BX12 Bus.
If you see the D on the other side of the A Platform, get on it, because if it pull out before the A you have no chance of catching it at the other stations because they share track from that point, so the A will always be behind it.
NOTE: You Can also get Greyhound from Mt Laural, Right on 73 behind the demolished laurel suites, inn, motel, whatever. Just before the entrance to the Turnpike. Also note this stop you would need to pay full fare as E-ticketing is only available from Philly.

instead of taking that long walk you can take the 8th ave subway right in penn sta to 59 st, (same for the bus terminal) change trains for the bronx train ( d or b, it's been awhile) to fordham road, from there you have a 10 minute or so walk to the school

They should stick with the D because:
- Its Express on CPW while the B run a painfully slow-ass local
- Not all B's run to the Bronx
- B's dont run on weekends at all (if this trip is taking place then)
Its simple get the A at Penn Station or Port Authority ride until you see the D at 59th 125th or 145th st(must transfer here) whatever comes first and transfer. If the OP decided to walk or bus it over to the school there decision, but in 10minutes time 5 Bx12s would've passed them.

I forgot to tell you guys, we are going to the Rose Hill Campus of Fordham (I think it's the Bronx). I'm wondering if it's possible for me to drive to Newark and take the PATH over to New York ~ can anybody give me directions using the PATH ~ would that be easier? Thanks!!!

If that's the case drive to Trenton or Hamiliton Stations on the NJTransit NEC route. Free Parking at both stations and the Train Brings you right in to Penn Station. To take the same Subway routes previously suggested.
