The map said nothing about drug arrests and graffiti complaints. Provide your link. You are basically making stuff up and then trying to go back later to find something to back it up. I don't see open drug dealing here. If stuff happens, it happens behind closed doors. Significantly, there were no murders here last year. Like I said, I never said the neighborhood was perfect, but it's a very nice place to live and has a lot of people who care about it.

Yeah so I guess that invalidates the 6 rapes, 77 robberies, 66 burglaries, 26 assaults, and 57 grand larcenies that occured between Bedford Park and Moshulo Parkway last year (And thats while I ignore a portion of it in sector I on the map).

It's a high crime neighborhood. Can you prove me otherwise?

Pete you are not gonna win with SuperWario, as his only motivation on this site is to keep the Bronx poor, rents low, and whites out. So long as you keep that in mind you won't get too worked up.

The facts remain that the drop in crime across the city, INCLUDING Bedford park has been phenomenal, as has investment as of late. Of course, the naysayers and those that have their own agenda will always find the negative to talk about...but never the positive. They will always see the one abandoned car on the street, but not the block of new 3 family homes behind it. It's all about perception and view....and it would be very sad and depressing to see life through his eyes.

Bedford Park, as is much of the Bronx..continues to improve!

The 52nd precinct (which Bedford Park is most certainly a part of) is the leader in drug arrests and graffiti complaints. Tells me that the neighborhood has a serious problem with drug dealers and graffiti.

All you say is the same improve improve bs....we get it.......but you have to look at the stats. I back up my opinions with facts and statistics.

Bedford park is a declining neighborhood with alot of crime.

Yes lets look at the stats then..please post what the stats were 10 years ago...I wonder if there is some sort of trend? Let's see!

Regarding graffitti complaints..I think that's great! The community is taking action and responding to the graffitti instead of not complaining, doing nothing, and let things turn to crap..which is a sign of a deteriorating community. Same goes for drug arrests, they are no doubt being driven by an active community that is not tolerating that activity, calling the cops, as well as an active, dedicated, and effective police force.

As I stated..some people just see the glass as always half empty no matter what.

Uh I hope you know that the stats above are only from Bedford Park to Moshulo Parkway.

Yes, SuperMario's motivation is clear. By the way, the drop in crime since '90 for the 52nd is 73%. I am not trying to portray mine as a perfect neighborhood. But I will cheer for it and acknowledge the progress it has made. Again, the 52nd has seen a big drop in crime so far this year, including a 57 percent drop in murder--Bedford Park had 0 anyway last year. Bedford Park is declining -- crimewise.

What so special about the 52nd?

Drop from 1990

40th: 75%
41st: 68%
42nd: 65%
43rd: 73%
44th: 75%
46th: 77%
48th: 67%

Catch my drift? You mentioning the drop in crime for the 52nd does nothing for me...are the above neighborhoods now desirable? Alot of the drop in crime was due to the end of the crack era. So I wouldn't look to much into it. As far as murder, dont count your chickens before they hatch. It only takes one bad week for homicides to skyrocket. They usually come in bunches anyway. Trust me...its not staying at 4.

In fact, its probably due.

Of course it's not staying at 4, the year is only half over. Are you going to post at every incident? I have to stop this. There's no point. Even a positive is a negative in your eyes.
