[quote=page3000;4290435]oh yeah duh..i'm in LIC like ALL the time. I should look at the rental rates.
And no I don't have any friends here yet. Well, not close ones that I feel comfortable calling up. I know it makes me sound like a loser but I have only been here a year and been completely consumed with work and college and forgot about a social life.[/quote

That sucks you have no friends in NYC, what about people at your job??well to me a year is not long enough to get adjusted to such a big city just give it some time and go out more! What are you in college for?Im in a 2 year college for information technology and as soon as im done with that i wanna move to NYC i can imagine it being hard as H.E.double hockey sticks. to find a job!!!

Bedford Park is really close to Fordham-Bedford. They border each other. They are divided by Bedford Park BLVD.....go one block north and you're in Bedford Park......go one block south and you're in Fordham-Bedford.

In terms of street numbering it goes something like this:

Fordham-Bedford: 190th-200th

Bedford Park: 200th-204th

The above neighborhoods are east of Jerome avenue.

Every black/hispanic neighborhood you go to you will get cat calls. Thats just something you're going to have to get used to.

But that goes on in cali too. Especially Mexican workers...they stay staring and whistling until you disappear from sight. Did you live a sheltered life in SD?

Sort of. My mom was hella strict..but yes I do know about the mexicans. The guys here just seem more aggressive. Shoot...it's not just in black and hispanic hoods..I've gone thru italian/white areas and it's the same thing...maybe lesser..i dunno
I just ignore it now. I was hella naive at first. But then there are some days..you're having your freakin' period..and ONE too many guys have holla'd at ya..and ya snap! LIke a female animal on the animal planet with too many mates trynna hump her..she just turns around and eats them the f*** up!
