For good cheap eats, you cannot beat Chinatown, and brighton beach

Flushing, Ridgewood Queens gets honorable mention

Just bout anything in those locales

Brighton beach has these street vendors that sell some pastry with some meat in it, but it is good,

Most chinese food is cheap, in flushing on main street there is a place that sells peking duck right off the sidewalk, and is cheap and good

On Fresh Pond between Woodbine, and Palmetto is a place called Kredens that serves good polish cuisine, and they are reasonably priced

And I always like NYC metro diner food

Be careful on the ones with meat - very risky. Better try the ones with cabbage or potato.
