Can't rent without a job. Most companies wont sponsor a visa.
It's not as easy as it seems. One important tip - if any 'Manager' or 'Agent' requests money from you upfront, they are not legit. Legally licensed Talent Agents/Managers will never ask you for money. They may send you for headshots and those you have to pay for. But they get paid when you get paid by taking a percentage of your wages. But any of these jobs in the performing arts are highly competetive and not all that easy to get into (trust me I know - my daughter was in the business since she was 5). There are so many talented people out there all now waiting tables and such.

My cousin's gf came up here from North Carolina with dreams of making it as an actress. Well, now she waits tables for a living.
Waiting tables woudl be a "best case" scenario for ending up working in another field. More ladies end up being lured into the escort business or running drugs becasue of the quicky, easy paycheck.
