don't you think your request is rather vague?

How many bedrooms? what type of amenities are you looking for?

What part of the city?

I can go on and on

I would say about $1,300 to $6,000+

$1,300 being in not the greatest neighborhood in a walk-up. North of that the better area you go.

Ahhhh,,,,
Where in NYC????????
Manhattan is not NYC,,
if you know where you are going to be working, maybe we can help you more....
Also.. what type of life do you want..
I like Bay Ridge in Brooklyn, nice and safe area... and a lot of people dont...
Also how much money do you have..
How much money you have, and where are you going to be working is going to be big factors if not the deciding factors

New York City is made up of five different and distinct boroughs. If you're looking at living at Manhattan, prices will generally be much more expensive than other areas. Unfortunately, you really do need to be much more specific.

For a one bedroom in a decent area of queens expect to pay 1,200-1,400 average. Most of the time this doesn't include utilities either.

Yes, you might be better served trying to get matched with a roommate for a 2BR apartment, since you usually cannot rent without income, unless you have a prepayment agreement with the landlord, although those are not very common.
