Default Guilty or not guilty?

Has anyone read the true-crime paperback "Death of a Dream," about a young New Yorker by the name of Paul Cortez, who was found guilty for the death of his ex-girlfriend? After finishing this book, I have my doubts, as well, that he was guilty, because how can a person who has very long hair commit such a hideous crime, and NOT ONE HAIR was found in the crime scene? Would like to hear from anyone who has read the book. Thank you,

I haven't read the book, but after reading your post, the first thing that jumped to mind was...a vacuum cleaner, perhaps? Or at least a broom.
