Unhappy Am Park Nieghborhood School Bronx

I am moving to the Van Cortladt area in two weeks and really want to enroll my six year old in the Am Park nieghborhood school but am afraid there is a waiting list. I really hate PS 95 and would be devestated if I had to send her there. I've been trying to call the school evey day for weeks and nobody answers the phone. Does anyone have any info on how to register or if there is a waiting list, if so what are some good alternatives? Also I work and don't get home until 645-7 so an after school program would be nice. I'm really starting to panic and would appreciate any advise!!!

Default Ps 95

The local paper Riverdale Press indicated that the school [95] is improving 2007-2008, the evaluations were done by parents. I had known the late Sheila Mencher for whom the school is named, and she worked tirelessly for good test results, as such the school across the street in nothing really special, mostly the students are from The Almagamated which has first preference. Good luck
