Many young males are walking around NYC with their pants hanging sooooo low that they are baring their bottoms. I, personally, find it disgusting as a parent. NYC is creating a law against it because government says is gang related. What do you think?

You don't have to be a parent to find it offensive!

but at the same time I am going but,, this law is kinda strong.. and maybe against people right... They are not showing any skin(maybe some of them do...), so it shouldnt be ilegal.... If we start doing this,, when will the government stop...

How is this gang related....? I know plenty of males who did this, and they're certainly not in gangs. What happened to our freedom of dress? Now we're going to have to worry about dress codes too?

Well, I tell you, it is bad enough when I go to the gym that I am forced to see ugly bared bottoms, but to have it pushed down my throat even further......And about people's rights, if we allow them to continue doing this, next they will be walking around without them. So government has to stop it.

It's a slippery slope. More and more things are being banned just because some people don't like them... where do they draw the line? It keeps getting pushed farther...

Default Re: Low pants

I heard this fad started in prison as a way of advertising a sexual need. I don't know how true this is. But if so, if these kids knew, maybe they would hike up their pants!!!

I left NYC 24 years ago, but here in Puerto Rico they dress like that also.
