They can overlap. For example, Williamsburg has 2 zip codes, 11211 and 11206, which the latter is shared with Bed-Stuy. I think it has to do w/ Post office jurisdictions when it comes to delivering mail/parcel.

Ahh, I see, well that's good to know. I always thought that each neighborhood had specific zip codes, and I've noticed a lot of "Flushing" on mail that certainly wasn't in Flushing, so that's interesting.

114--=Jamaica
113--=Flushing
111--=Long Island City
116--=Far Rockaway

I think I'm missing one more....

I think most neighborhoods in Queens had specific zip codes [Maspeth-11378, Forest Hills-11375 etc.] but some neighborhoods [usually big ones] have more then one, like Astoria [11003, 11005] and Bayside[11361, 11360].

Three, actually. 11361 - Bayside proper 11360 = Bay Terrace and 11364 = Oakland Gardens.

I used to live in 11364 and always considered it to be Bayside

East Elmhurst is a good neighborhood. It does have some problems with gangs, and poverty in certain parts, but overall I feel safe when I'm there. That school on Junction is very good but you have to apply and not everyone gets in. I believe it's hard to get in, and you're usually zoned to other schools in the area. Where in East Elmhurst are you moving? Good luck!! I hope you like it.
