Hi There,

I'm currently looking to relocate from Upstate NY down to NYC. I'm curious to know what an average one-bedroom or studio apartment's rent would be in Bensonhurst. I also don't drive, so neighborhoods that are in close proximity to buses and trains would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance for your time!

Plenty of proximity to buses and trains in Bensonhurst; the D train slices right through the neighborhood, and there's the B-4 bus on Bay Ridge Parkway (otherwise known as 75 Street) from Bay Ridge to Sheepshead Bay, B-1 bus on 13 Avenue & 86 Street running from Bay Ridge to Manhattan Beach, B-8 on 18 Avenue from East Flatbush all the way across Brooklyn to Fort Hamilton, and B-6 on Bay Parkway from East New York to Bath Beach.

I live close by (Gravesend, which is about the same costwise), and have an in law in Bensonhurst. For a studio to 1BR, I think it might be around $1000 and up. Sometimes something under 1000 may come up (I am still paying 800 for a full 1BR) but in todays market maybe not.
