Unhappy need advice for good restaurant, nice place for a last week end with my boyfriend !!!

Hi there !!

Hope that someone could help me... My boyfriend is leaving to study and we only 2 week ends left... I would like to taka him to a very nice place to eat close to Central Park. I have heard about ASIAt @ the Mandarin Hotel but it is a bit expensive. Also, I was told about BoatHouse. Can someone tell me more about that plizzzzzzzzzzzzzz ?

You might be better off having a romantic picnic in Central Park. You could really splurge with your budget.

If you keep your options open (and are not drinking alcohol), there are plenty of fine places that would enable you to skate by on $50 a person if you (a) do lunch, or (b) go early for one of the pre-theater price fix specials. San Domenico, for example, on Central Park South, would cost $75-$80 for a basic appetizer and entree, but has pre fixe for about $35. Still, with tax, tip, and even a soft drink, $50 will be close.

Central park is HUGE! What area of town near the park are you thinking about? There are so many options...
