I came across this article and found it interesting. The help from the city to bring these beautiful brownstones back to life will do wonders for the community! And they are grants that do not have to be paid back..... Landmarks Preservation Commission helps Mott Haven restore history

That's really good to hear. I love that the BX is finally getting its due. If only I was more focused back when and bought in BX rather than renting. Aside from the kid in a wifebeater and a chain, never a good look, that's a great article.

Lol..yeah that made me laugh also....but yeah it is a great article. I called and this particular grant is available ONLY to building that are either Landmarked or within Landmarked districts...unfortunately my building does not meet either one of those categories. However they did have me contact HPD for low cost loans to fix my facade...the prior **Owner** put a stone/stucco facing on it that is absolutely horrendous and killed the beautiful architecture....I will find out if it is even possible to have it removed, and what it would cost to bring back the original facade.
