Would like to work in NY
Hello everybody, my name is Marlene, I'm 22 and I'm French... I'm actually in Virginia next to DC working as an aupair but I would like to work in New York at the end of my aupair contract. The only thing is, that I need a visa if I wanna work in the US.
Maybe, somebody can help me to find what are the Company who work with French people so I can be sponsorised and then I can get a visa or anything else which could help me. I don't know, I'm just trying everything to realise my project and it's pretty hard as a foreigner to come here and have a job legaly...
Thank you in advance for all your answers...
Have a good one.
Marlene

You might try to
- do a search for other non-US citizens that wish to live and work in the US
- check out this thread
http://www.city-data.com/forum/gener...-live-usa.html
- possibly find another au pair position in NYC.
Good luck!

Hi Everyone
How easy is it to get an aupair in NY? we dont have kids, but do have 2 large dogs (we will be living upstate) and if we are both working it will be very difficult to take care of them and the house. I just cant get my head around paying $20 for someone to walk my dog for half an hour! and $20 and hour for someone to give my house and quick once over! An aupair might be the answer. We are british though on a working visa (dont know if this makes a difference).
Thanks!

An aupair to look after dogs, what a great job! I'll do it. Can I bring my husband and kids? Seriously, I don't think aupairs normally clean, and you usually go through an agency, which might have problems with atypical situations, but good luck!
