Default Looking for apts

Sooo the last two places I lived, I found through Craigslist. I have had success using that site, and haven't had problems. However, right now as I'm looking for a new place, I want some more options. I'm still using Craigslist, but want to look elsewhere too. I really don't feel like going through a broker, unless I absolutely have to.

So, what sites do you recommend? How did everyone find their apt? Thanks!

I highly suggest rent-direct.com

You pay 200-300 for about 90 days and you get access to a ton of listings and you rent directly through the landlord or management company. I used it to find my apartment and found it to be very helpful.

If you have a good idea of the area you want to live in, it's a good idea to go in person and walk/drive the neighborhood Many times, landlords will post "For Rent" signs on their buildings and you can call them directly.
