No worries...there is a reason why you say WOW and it makes news..cuz it never happens in this city. With the monumental bus passengers and velocity in this city....WOW should really be directed towards the fact that it never happens.

"Never", it just did guy. And has happened before and will happen again in the future. You mean it's rare.

From NY1.com:

Police are searching for a gunman who shot a man on a Brooklyn bus Monday night in Homecrest.Police say two 19-year-old men were fighting on the street when one of them got on the B36 bus to try to get away.
They say the other man followed him on board and opened fire at Nostrand Avenue and Avenue Y, striking the victim in the leg.
The gunman ran off.
The victim was taken to Lutheran Hospital.

I feel sorry for the bus operator,he or she had to witness that. Who cares about a thug getting shot, they contribute nothing to society.

Let's be serious please..clearly it will happen again...but we will also probably be hit with another 5 mile wide asteroid that will kill all life as we know it...it happened before and it will happen again... I stand by my statement..it never happens...and neither does the cataclysmic asteroid hitting earth every 10 billions years.

I love how they call the neighborhood "Homecrest". It's Sheepshead Bay for christ sake. I lived two blocks from there until 3 months ago, and 33 years previously. Morons.

10 bucks the shooter and/or victim reside in the Sheepshead Projects down the block...

This has nothing to do with anything, but I am visiting the city I moved to NYC from, Birmingham, Al, and I had forgotten how crime invested it is. Just watching the news here is terrible. It is a hundredth of the size of NYC, but with more crime, and it seems like worse crime.

NYC really does have a really low amount of crime for the size that it is.

Please post the last time someone was shot on a city Bus..and then let's compare the number of trips NYers take by Bus on a daily yearly basis....let's see how "common" it is. The fact remains...IT NEVER HAPPENS
