Default How is the area around 70th, west of Broadway on UWS

Looking to move around that neighborhood, just out of the 72nd street 1 line station, and west of Broadway, so like around 70-72steet and west end avenue. The area looks very quiet and residential and nice. How is that area generally? Easy access to groceries/supermarkets/restaurants/ etc?

Thanks!

It's a nice area - near Fairway at 74th, Zabars at 81st. Near the subway, not far from Central Park. One of my favorite parts of Manhattan.

On West End Ave its actually nicer a little further up away from the ugly high rises around 67-69th, between the 70's through the 100's. Riverside Drive, one block west of West End, is also really beautiful and peaceful (no stores and lots of trees and beautiful architecture). Riverside Park, which is just one block west of West End Ave, is also really nice and a lot closer than Central Park from that area. In that area Riverside Park borders the Hudson River so its really nice scenery and people plant lots of flowers and stuff.
