Lease ?
My lease expires on sept 30th. At this time i have not renewed my lease. This is a private building with a few rent stabilized apts. I am buying a house and would close on oct 3th. The building management stated that there is no month to month and my only option would be lease renewal where i would be responsible for rent for the duration of my lease.( 11 month's worth of rent). What would happen if i stayed for the month of oct and paid the rent. I can't move out before that (I have nowhere to go and I have a special needs child). Any advice?
