Default Brooklyn - Crime rate on the rise??

A lot of Brooklyn's once crime-ridden neighborhoods are getting better and better. But is crime rate on the rise?? For instance guys, there was a total of 6 shootings last night alone(), all of which were centered in the North-Eastern part of the borough, where MOST of the typically crimey neighborhoods are contained. I don't know, judge for yourselves.

Right before the West Indian Day Parade, Brooklyn celebrates J'ouvert. It's the festival that preceeds the parade on the weekend. The unfortunate thing is that there are a great deal of shootings and stabbings that are a result of the festival as well. The shootings your talking about may just be a spike resulting from that.
