Do you know where will be their Best Buy store?
Also, we gonna have Target in the old Sears building next to Fordham plaza right?
Honestly I was under the impression Sears along with some other stores was going to set up shop there. I still don't know exactly what they are going to do. I'm sure somebody on the forum probably does though.

As for the Best Buy, I meant to ask where the store was going to be, but there were too many people at the booth (they were taking job applications). I'm thinking it might be where the Levitz store was.

There was an article in NYT's Real estate section about the Sears building and how they plan to build it. I read it a while ago and I remember that the second floor would be Target, the rest will be used for office rental.

I found an NYT article on Fordham Place (the old Sears building). It mentions Target but in reference to the one in River Plaza in Marble Hill. According to the article the building will be used for Sears, other stores, and office space. They basically mention that with the success of the Target store it has encouraged other big-name retailers to seriously consider entering the Bronx.

According to the article it will break down like this, Sears in the basement, Walgreens on the ground floor (Nice!!, lol), and a Best Buy on the second floor. I guess that answers the question as to where Best Buy will be. I wasn't aware they were that far ahead with the project though (the best buy people were announcing a store opening for November). I'm going to pay more attention next time I'm around the plaza.

I wish they'd put a Best Buy and a Dallas BBQ in Bay Plaza.

Awesome. They could also go in the new Bronx Terminal Market.

speaking of Jimmy's Bronx Cafe, I was there for a brief function in 11/2000 but when did it close? In fact, what is the history of that site? How long was Jimmy's there for and what was there prior?
