Jusy heard today from a Supervisor that there are 3 classes confirmed for September. I said are you sure and he said yes they are confirmed. I hope it is true.
Is that unusual, to have 3 classes in one month? When they had one class in July last year & one in Aug, I figured it was because there wasn't enough room at FBF to train both at once. Doesn't FBF last a whole month?
I know the way Grapes wrote it sounded like 3 classes in the month of September but what he meant was 3 classes,1 in Sept,1 in October and 1 in November.
having 3 classes would be great if it true dont know if i would get in one of the classes but i should be called for a medical atleast my list # is 12** so im close but as we all know this is he say she say until i actually get a letter or someone else does on this page all we can do is cross our fingers and hope this is actually true but thanks grapes for the info it does give us hope

im trying not to get too excited about these most recent posts. I got my CDL thru the DSNY back in summer of 08' , im sure a bunch of people with low list numbers are on this thread or at least read it.
just hearing people say " confirmed" and " 3 classes " brightens my day a little bit

I posted exactly what I was told. I'm sure what the guy meant was 3 different months too. You guys need to stop overanalyzing every statement and hope you get called.
For those who are waiting to be called for this job,good luck. I know its frustrating to wait,Ive been there. Retirees will need to be replaced eventually no matter how much the city wants to cut the DSNY workforce. Don't count on anything you hear about hiring,online or elsewhere,until you are told that you are hired and are sworn in. Ive heard of a handful of people that took the test in 1990 that didnt get hired until 1999. Keep that in mind as only a couple years have passed. It will happen/
