Heard itr should be 2 classes one in november and one in december. 60 and 40. As of right now the new guys will be coming in with some seniority because they will have the supervisors that got demoted beat. That may or may not change.

Thanks for the number Mr. V. Is it true that the next DSNY exam will be given in 2014? Somebody from DSNY Human Resources told this to somebody. It doesn't make sense, the next exam should be given BEFORE the 6063 list expires and not after. Also it takes a few months after the exam to establish the list.

city and dept fighting 831 to get their seniority back and if it dont happen which i think it will guys aint that stupid if they are a go with demotion they will just throw it in before the class come on
these guy that are getting demoted going to be very disgruntled which i dont blame them . not a real joking matter though someone will twist the knife at the garage they goto guys have families and mortgages and lives that revolved around being a supervisor and for some 1 year away from top pay which is 90000 without holiday pay and longevity dropping guys to 69,000 with no seniority to make truck differential and ot is a crusher to these guys treat these guys with a little compassion and welcome them back for however long they come back and not be typical me first sanmen that seperates us from other city depts.

Yeah the test will probably be given in 2013. Who ever in HR said that probably doesn't know much about that. After all really it isn't HR responsible to know that... thats really a DCAS question.

Supv's who are not on probation are losing their seniority. Throwing in the badge probably won't make much difference at this point.
I wonder how many of the Supv's who made their year and are getting demoted to the bottom also gave up their CDL's assuming that they didn't need them anymore since they made their year in title as a Supv.... that could be a sticky situation as well

I spoke to a woman in HR at DSNY and she said even if there are two classes they are only gonna use one list instead of requesting another list from DCAS for the second class. Which means anyone that restored their number since DSNY requested the latest list for this round of hiring, is gonna have to wait for the next round of hiring

Many of them to lose seniority. I think I understand the reasons why 831 is resisting the non probationary supervisors getting San worker seniority back. Maybe it sets a bad precedent. But these supv are being forced, I say give them their seniority wherever they would have fallen if they didn't take the badge. If we don't stick together,we will surely fall.
