You can get way nicer apts for the money out here. As far as socially, The people in Cali dont value friendships like they do in the East Coast.Thats what I've noticed.
You are right. They invade NYC's threads in the General US forums while we leave theirs alone... They're jealous, they're insecure.
Go to the Los Angeles forum and you will see a lot of New Yorkers asking for advice about moving to Cali. So L.A. threads get invaded by new yorkers too! But anyway...who cares!! This thread is getting pretty childish anyway with the "they're jealous of us" type comments!!!!!
California is a JOKE!! It's all an illusion. What you see on T.V about L.A is the eye candy or small niche areas/cultures. i.e, Hollywood hills, LA.
The people over here love NY because of the media. Most of the people over here NEVER been to NY! Time wasters like Sex in the city, Seinfeld, rappers, ect create this love.. If all this stuff came out of Utah, people over here would be all about Utah so all you NYrs don't feel special..
And why do you think people love CA? It's because of the media too!! The illusion of LA and why people love it is mostly b/c of the media. What the hell is the difference between than and the media driven image of NYC?? Same thing.

You are judging the entire state of CA based on your small experience with just Los Angeles. There is a hell of a lot more to this state than LA and much of it is very different.

Let's face it: when it comes to thinking (or caring) about the other coast, the Californians do more of it than the New Yorkers. For the most part, we really don't care what anyone else in any other city thinks of us.
Californians DO NOT think about people in other states at all, I'm not even sure where you got that absurd assumption from. Californians have always done things their own way and others tend to follow, people here could care less what the rest of the country thinks of us.

As we speak, East Coast rappers are being bashed on Youtube by random people from the West Coast...
Examples...
"pac's better yo f**k the east side, wesuyeed!"
"f**k new york yo wesuyeed!"
etc...
Look up Pac's music on Youtube and nobody from the East Coast even says a word. It's obvious that people on the West Coast care a lot more than people on the East Coast. Pac dissed Biggie in almost every song, Biggie brushed Pac off. Here's my proof... The questions they ask Biggie and Lil Ceasar about East Coast vs. West Coast (Tupac) start at about :50 or so... The title says "Dissin Tupac" but nowhere in that interview did they diss anybody from the West Coast or Tupac (who's originally from NY)... Enlighten yourself...

WHO CARES what rappers do? I'm talking about normal, everyday working people and NOT rappers or people obsessed with rap. They don't represent the majority of people at all. That whole west coast vs east coast rap feud is so stupid and overplayed and 98% of the country could care less about what rappers think or do. Once you get out of high school you hopefully realize how few people actually care about rap.

I'm a California native and live here and nobody ever brings up NY except for the New York and Northeast transplants.

First of all, I'm not a New Yorker. I have lived in Los Angeles though, and in my year there I don't think I've ever heard people actually discuss the State of California.
So by your reasoning , do Los Angelenos not care about California?
