And even more people don't care about it than do, a lot more. I know rap music is popular, most of my childhood friends back in the Bay Area all listen to underground rap from there. But it's not as big as some would like to believe it is. It's big but not so big that it influences a lot of what we do and think about.

Before turning the lights out, I must tip my hat to you - to have been able to have a woman who was both cultured/educated and beautiful. You have been lucky but perhaps she felt that way to have you too.

For me, it's usually been one or the other - regrettably more the former than the latter. After a point one has had one's fill of operas, going to museums often enough for the curator to stuff one as an exhibit, zoos, plays.

So as I turn the lights off, I'll have sweet dreams of a scantily clad mermid from NYC or Cali coming to my rescue and showing me that there's more to life than Carnegie Hall or Lincoln Center. Maybe she'll take me for some surfing, some loving, some sunny Cali days - or at least to the Hamptons in her open top - I mean her car, btw.

Pleasant dreams to all.

I'm originally form the Bronx, I lived in Cali for a while and it took me some time to get used to it. The way of life, at least where I lived which was Northern Cali was pretty much laid back and easy as opposed to the way of life I lived in NY. When people found out I was from NY, especially the Bronx they would act surprised and ask me a whole bunch of stuff. Funny thing is I now live in Virigina and I want to go back to Cali.
