I used to watch the "Real World" If you ask me, it is time to wrap it up. It's done with; this ain't the 90's anymore. However, I did liked the Dave Chappelle skit "Mad Real World" in season one.

I agree. They haven't really branched out enough, in terms of choosing people of different ethnic backgrounds, race and religion.
Maybe once every other season they'll do that. But not enough.
I'd like to see some more Asians on the show too, and some more Hispanics.
And why is everyone on the show always in the same age group (18-25)
Whats the maximum age ?? Anyone know ?

I'd really like to see a Real World: Montreal. I love Montreal.

Repeat after me: DEMOGRAPHICS. Ask the marketing whizzes who tell the TV executives who's watching their programming. As soon as you're older than the 18-25 demographic group, television isn't interested in you. There are exceptions to the rule, of course. But in general, that show will continue to feature 18-to-25-year-olds for as long as it's on the air.

I think the maximum age is 23-24, but used to be 25-26. I remember that Kevin was the oldest in the first NY season (turning 26 during his stay in the loft) and that it seems as if the maturity level of the roommates has gone down tremendously. I miss the dynamics between the young, naive housemate and the older, more knowledgeable one. It seems as if the kids are more or less the same age now. And they don't seem to cast anyone under 21 anymore because they want to make sure they have kids who can drink and party. Ridiculous.
A cool spin on the age thing would be if the youngest were the most mature and the most traveled, while the oldest were the naive one. It can happen.

...And in the second place (he said, continuing from his previous post) let's be honest: there's not much "real" in the "Real World." It is, in fact, more like "Made for TV." If you want real, turn off the set and go outside.

Why are you so snippy about this? We realize that this show is manufactured beyond repair, but we still choose to watch. It doesn't mean we're less interested in what's going on outside our windows and in our real lives.

This is the first RW that I am excited about seeing..although Hollywood was a sight to see since Greg was an A** and got under everyones skin and Joey was a drunk....it kept me entertained. But I must admit that I miss the early 90 seasons..before Hollywood I must have missed say like 3 or 4 seasons maybe more IDK. But I love Brooklyn and really want to see how MTV portrays it.
