Ck the 9/11 thread in the NJ forum. It is 9+ pages long. I am suprised this thread isn't longer.
I will never forget!

I was suprised at this as well. The NYC forum seems to have less traffic lately, maybe that is the reason.
I will never forget either.

No worries about the NJ thread. This is not a competition. We're fewer here but our grief is unsurpassable. Thanks for the thread.

Please note: I didn't say that to make it a competition, truly, I did not.
I just thought that if people were interested, they could check it out.

Sorry Miles, I didnt mean to make it seem like a competition. I was just observing that the traffic seems down on the NYC forum. No disrespect intended.

I'm sorry that I didn't phrase my comment better, Rudbeckia, because neither you nor Shanny meant that there was a competition.
Thanks so much for your thread which gave us an opportunity to commiserate with each other over that awful day.

I always found it weird how my dad worked in a building right next to the WTC, and his firm was moved to 6th Ave. one week before 9/11.

it was so weird living in the W. Village around that time. I was so used to seeing those two massive towers in the back drop whenever i crossed 6th ave. then there was nothing.
also, the days after were strange. army vehicles sectioned off 14th street. there was still dust/debris in the air. they were handing out free surgical masks..it looked anf felt like Baghdad after a bomb strike.. (ok not that bad)
