I can't stop thinking about Parkchester South
I've been entertaining the idea of moving the family to Parkchester South next year.
It seems like a nice little community. I have read the Parkchester threads and it seems there is no true consensus on the safety/comfort of the community. But is seems that of late anyway, most people have agreed that it is atleast decent compared to other areas of the Bronx.
Anyway, I just wanted to confess that I am obsessed with this community. I have only visited one time, but I have been digging up as much info as I can online.
I will be going back there pretty soon. I feel like a stalker of some sort...
Anyone else thinking about Parkchester?

Actually alot of people are thinking about Parkchester...you should private message NYCWoman as she is a single woman living there....for about 2 years now. She can talk to you about the area from a woman's perspective who is not from the Bronx, as well as give you a tour of the area.

you've certainly got all the emotions necessary to move to Parkchester - you can't stop thinking of it, you're obsessed with it, you feel like a stalker..i say go for it.
last time i heard those emotions used so expressively, it was from a girl i was dating. i told her to go for it. she did follow my advice - and went after him.

yeah, i actually like it too. with my sneakers i can just run around the neighborhood, take in the views, etc. and try to put it all in perspective. no need to be obsessed with it as it might cloud my judgment. i need to check it out thoroughly first.

girls1 - I of course would be happy to answer and questions (either here or through a pm) or even give you a tour if you need one. I do have something else to add about a great restaurant that I found last night - Willie's Steak House. But I am going to post in on one of the other, longer Parkchester threads, so everything keeps getting deposited in one place - to make it easier for people to follow.
Again, feel free to get in contact if need be!! And good luck!

I can't stop laughing at you Miles. You've lived a full life, my man. LOL.
But seriously, maybe you should get out more and travel. There are other magnificent parts of the city to obsess over. Just my opinion though.

Thanks for the wonderful replies!
I've calmed down a little since yesterday. That's a relief considering I was obsessed for days.
I did read most of the threads on the area but I will be pm'ing you for info as needed NYCwoman. Thanks for being open to interrogation!
I feel a little better now that I'm no longer obsessed. It certainly does cloud judgement.

Absolutely, girls1 - feel free to pm me and I will be happy to give you any assistance or info I can. (As long as there are no restraining orders involved - I think everything will work out well for you. LOL)
