Probably the LIE views are premium priced. At these low end prices the view is probably Queens Boulevard...ground floor.

According to the writeup the place was built in the 60's and rented at at $40 per air conditioned room. So if there is central air still included, then it's a reasonable rent.
But I've never been in the place so I don't know.

Are they doormen buildings?

It faces Junction Blvd, not Queens Blvd.

Lefrak City located between 97th Street, 63rd Rd., 99th Street and the Long Island Expressway. It is bordered on it north side by 63rd Rd. Queens Blvd. is east of Lefrak City. It might be possible from some windows of apts. on higher floors to see part of Queens Blvd. on the eastern side of the complex.

LEFRAK in Jersey City is NEWPORT...all buildings have doormen. The huge complex sits on the Hudson River atop the Holland Tunnel.
Newport, NJ Residential & Commercial Real Estate Jersey City

LEFRAK in Manhattan is GATEWAY TOWERS, doormen buildings at the Northernmost end of Battery Park City. The two cement-looking towers.

The largest demographic in each of these places is Indian...well paid Indian. Median income of Newport is $125,000.

Except that we're talking about the one in Queens, not the one in Jersey City.

But yeah, Newport has a lot of Indians: It's 69% Asian.

I know,
but that's why I asked about doormen in the Queens development...because I know they exist in the other 2 major Lefrak housing developments in the area.

The only thing I know about the Queens joints is their rent and the fact that the fictitious DEACON PALMER lives there.

And I referenced Newport and Gateway to show that the idea of Lefrak doormen isn't all that preposterous .

Please don't be Fooled, Newport in NJ/ Pavonia station all the way to my job at Goldman Sachs is Beautiful! it's all high end condo developments with high great amneties and the best views imaginable! Both havonian developers & trump have built there. And Yes, many Indians/ paki young professionals live there.

Lefrak City in Queens is basically the Projects! It's gotten alot better in the last decade but it's a place pple live out of necessity! Just recently 100 drug dealers were arrested there, a couple even dealing drugs out of their daycare center! And no it's not Indian, it's still mostly black & hispanic.

I have no illusions about Lefrak City Queens. It's just that I am unfamiar with that particular LeFrak "project" so I ask questions. I have a dear friend in Rego Park to whom I owe a visit.

When I visit her I'll stroll through Lefrak City on my way to the QUEENS CENTER, another place I've never been.

Doesn't that describe a LOT of the City and a LOT of the people?

Seventh Floor...
Thanks for the Newport picture, I even was able to pick out my old apartment. Two things I really miss are those wonderful views of Manhattan...and the SHOPRITE.
But I'm growing to love Manhattan living (I've always PLAYED here.) Not having the PATH train to begin and end EVERY trip to anywhere is welcome indeed.
