need ABSOLUTE FASTEST way to get from LGA to lower Manhattan in morning
I'm traveling to New York on Thursday for a series of meetings. One of them has been rescheduled for just over an hour after my flight lands.
Can anyone recommend the fastest way I can get from LaGuardia to lower Manhattan (Broadway, just off of Wall St.) at 10.30am? Taxi? Bus/subway? Express bus?
Hopefully 45-60 minutes will be enough to make it in time? I won't have luggage, so I can go straight from the plane to transport.

Your best bet to attept to make it on time will be via car, and a car service might be a little easier than a cab if there's any sort of delay at the taxi stand. An hour can be very close from LGA to Lower Manhattan, but it can be done, depending upon what the Grand Central, BQE, and Brooklyn Bridge look like that particular morning.

The helicopter would work, and it's only about 10 minutes flying time, though there is a security check at the airport. The main issue is that one of the companies that does shuttle traffic doesn't service LGA, so you'd have to have a charter flight as opposed to paying the regular $159 fare. And, you have to get to the heliport at the airport, so that takes time as well.
The car is the best bet, just be sure to ask for a very experienced driver with your route and tell them when making the reservation that time is of the essence and ask if they could be there 15 minutes before your flight lands. It will cost a little extra, but the car will be there, since I have had them be 15-20 minutes late to the airport on a couple of occassions.

Talk about 'feeling like a big shot' though. Imagine how 'cool' that'd feel, landing in Mannhattan on a helicopter for a business meeting! Make me feel like 'Trump'!LOL Probably impress the ladies too! LOL

The fun factor is there, no doubt. And, when they have a fare sale as is running now, it's only a little over $100 with tax, not much more than the car service.

The one thing I like about the helicopter is the view, since it's awesome to be above the city, and it's a great way to put a smile on your day.

There are 3 heliports in Manhattan. W.30th along the Hudson, E.34th along the East River and one on Wall St.
