Where in NY have you lived??
Sooo for those born in NY, what part of NY is your family from? What parts have you lived in??
For those who moved to NY, how old were you when you moved here? What parts have you lived in?
My family is from Bushwick, Marine Park, and extended family lived in Middle Village.
I grew up in Long Island, close to the Queens border. Lived in the UES, and currently live in Astoria.

I've lived on the UWS, UES and Inwood sections of Manhattan, in Jamaica (briefly) and Park Slope (briefly).

My dad used to live in the Bronx by Yankees Stadium, and then he moved to Lefrak City, and then I was born and still live in Jackson Heights.

My parents were migrants from the Carolinas, meeting as teenagers in Harlem during the 1950s.
I lived near Crotona Park, in St. Mary's Projects, on Aqueduct & 182, north Manhattan (twice), Jersey City, and currently near Bedford Park Blvd.
So I've lived in the Bronx for nearly 2/3 of my entire life.

I was born in Manhattan to a family from the UES, with extended family in Riverdale, Brooklyn Heights, on the UES, Central Park West, and Douglaston, though my maternal grandparents also had a home in Connecticut. I grew up between Manhattan and Bedford/Katonah, having residences in both areas, and have lived on the UES and in Riverdale, with a brief stint in SoHo as well.

In NYC I have lived only in Mott Haven, in the same building I was raised, my parents were raised, and the same building my grandparents lived when they came to the mainland.
