The old NY license plates on cars such as 96 benz S420, 95 towncar limos, mustangs, etc. Very 90s, very classic.

Viralmd, I'll see your two-way Madison and Fifth, and raise you lunch at Schrafft's with Nesselrode pie or cheesecake for dessert.

Mr Goober was a dorky looking host of a kids show which featured your standard cartoons. Many local stations nationwide had some variant of this- Captain 20 in DC or Captain Chesapeake in Baltimore.
Wonderama was great. That was on all Metromedia (nka Fox) stations when it was a fledgling network. Snake Cans, the Disco Kid, What the Heck is It? Great stuff...
Edit:
Seems Mr. Goober aka Mike Warren was out of New Haven. The signal reached Port Jeff, but maybe not the City.

I believe there's actually still one of these standing. It's on the Belt Parkway, near the Flatbush Avenue cloverleaf.
