All was beautiful and the mood was right.
I held her hands, embraced her, and gently kissed her on the cheeks as she mumbled unintelligible but sweet nothings back to me.
Yes, I'll always remember our first kiss - and that chihuahua continues to be adorable.

I owe an apology to the OP for the above fictionalized NYC memory. I've never owned a pet and am in fact not a pet person. I do frequent Central Park and I am an aspiring writer. As such I let my imagination wander a little and tried to create an anecdote that perhaps many have actually experienced - with a substitution of a love interest instead of the chihuahua above. It was meant to be an antclimactic, dramatic but still comical skit.
There are, however, many other valid NYC memories in this thread including my other contributions.
Thanks, OP.

Another wonderful old (and vanishing) New York City treat is the lime rickey. Manny's Luncheonette--13 Avenue off 40 Street in Brooklyn--is one of the last remaining places where you can get a real, authentic, old fashioned lime rickey.

'My Friend Flicker??????' It's 'My Friend Flicka' - Flicka is the Swedish word for 'girl.' It was originally a novel, by Mary O'Hara.

Remember Officer Joe Bolton? He had a kid's show too.
