This got me thinking about some of the relics I see around Fordham that you just don't see anywhere else in the city anymore.
For instance, those children's rides outside stores. There are still places in Fordham that have those.
Also I've seen a few of those big red Emergency pole things, for people to call FDNY and the police.
Also on several occasions I've seen 3 card monte games being played.

Haha... I don't think it played a jingle at all, just a cursive "Master Softee" on the side of the truck so as a kid, I couldn't tell the difference.

There was one on 71st Ave and Austin St, too - I think it's a Rite Aid and Boston Market now.

Anyone remember when it seemed like every other bodega, pizzeria and laundromat had arcade machines in them? Kids would crowd around them after school. I used to play Marvel Super Heroes all over the city
