I'm noticing a lot more shootings. I hear shots very often and the police don't even come, I recall only one time when the police came and it was one day during the afternoon when people was shooting and many people had to run.

And it seems like this weekend the Bronx is taking the brunt of it, though of course BK had some incidents too. I don't recall every weekend having this much activity last year. I'm not buying that it's mere coincidence.

Default Most dangerous neighborhood in NYC

Harlem, NY.

This list counts down the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country according to FBI data.

The 17th worst neighborhood in the country is found in Harlem.

The neighborhood is centered around St. Nicholas ave & 125th st. under zip code code 10027. This portion of Harlem is more dangerous than nabes in Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland and Baltimore.

A 1 in 9 chance of becoming a victim.

The rest of the stats and the list appears here:

Most Dangerous Neighborhoods - WalletPop

--------------------------------------------------------------------

No suprise here. This part of Harlem has always been ground zero for anything bad NYC.

I'm surprised there was only one NYC neighborhood on that list.

Really though? I know Harlem still isn't the "amazing" place that everyone is making it out to be.. but it's softened up a lot through the years, and I feel like parts of the Bronx or even Brownsville/ENY would be worse than Harlem..

P.S. It's listed as the 18th worst.

I found this article intresting because it states the court initiated 357,480 cases, 21% more than in 1990.
