^Here is an article from the New York times which discusses my theory I spoke of earlier about rain being a factor of high/low homicide.

While I don't think we need to hit the panic button, people need to stop hyping this "Safest City in America" noise. NY has a unique oppertunity right now to nip a budding crime surge in it's infancy, something it didn't do during the 1960s (when violent crime blew up originally).

All it takes is one tourist/rich gentrifier to get nixed, and the herd stampede back out of the city begins.

In relation to the 800-900 people who die a year in NYC in this decade, compared to the thousands in the 90s 80s and 70s. No one has posted any actual evidence that crime is rising, when there's far more evidence to the contrary.

There was plenty of evidence, you just chose to ignore so you can live in fantasy utopia city.

Dont forget the central Bronx. ( east of Jerome)

It's the gutter.

I think the south east is ok. Parts of Soundview are pretty bad but not all of it.

Deflection doesn't counter the statement. Saying that some dude died somewhere today isn't evidence to rising crime, its just evidence that someone committed a crime. Now if you have any evidence other than anecdotal evidence that you'd like to share to prove otherwise, you're welcome to do so.

I hate to do this since most people know the crime stats are garbage but here since you just refuse to belive crime is up here is some real evidence that crime is up. There have been 348,857 crimes REPORTED in NYC so far this year compared to 341,945 crimes REPORTED last year so crime is up deal with it.
