[quote=confinednomad;5689303]I am looking for Angolan food in New York City. Does anyone here know of an Angolan community here, or know where I might look?
Thanks,
The Confined Nomad
I'm sure that there are people from Angola in NYC - we have people from every corner on earth here. I have an intuition, however, that people from war-torn or formerly war-torn regions of the world choose to keep a low profile as there are many fears about meeting fellow countrymen/women. The bagagge of decades of ethnic, racial, religious strife in the old countries can sometimes hamper the establishment of thriving communities in exile.
