Hi,
So here's the situation:
I saw an apartment with a broker- it was fabulous.
When she left, the doorman told me there was another apartment in the building just like it that was also available and he showed it to me.
Can I rent the other apartment without the broker
I signed something that said that I will pay a fee if I select a residence located for me by the broker.

Need to submit the application tomorrow, so any help would be great!

Thanks

You have a problem because you wouldn't know about the building, never mind the apartment(s), unless the broker told you about it or took you there. So you're in a pickle. You need to talk to an attorney who is familiar with real estate, because you could possibly be sued...

Even though real estate agents are at the bottom of my list of most liked characters I believe that the agent here might be able to claim a commission since she showed you the building in which the units are located.
