Does anyone when and where is the next city data NYC meeting will be?

Unfortunately Kcoleman...there was not enough interest in a schedule of meetups. At this point it is best left to random whims by city-data stalwarts....not sure when the next one is as a result. But when we have one...it is always announced on the board so check back regularly. Of course...if you would like to host one in your nieghborhood (not your house), just pick an establishment, a time and date..and let us know!

Hi kcoleman. Nice of you to be interested in a meetup. The problem is that many of us enjoy the anonymity that the board provides. Hence the lack of interest. For example. I've been advised via PM from several posters that they can't wait to meet me since I come across as an intelligent, sharp-witted, handsome dude with all the finer qualities of a hip NYC resident.

For me personally a meetup will surely debunk that myth and leave many a woman on here demoralized. Better to perpetuate the myth and hide safely behind a keyboard than to attend and leave a trail of disappointed broken hearted women.

Hope you will be able to meet others, though.

C'mon miles. I've read lots of your post and I can tell that those qualities do exist in you from what you write. With those qualities, I'm sure people would like to be around you regardless of what you think you may look like to others. However, I do understand the whole point of anonymity. Whenever you get your teeth fixed and get your toupe together (lol), I'm sure you'll be ready to come out from hiding. jk

I've been part of some boards for years and never went to the meet-ups. For some reason I'm just shy to go to the meet-ups. I really want to go to them and put a face to all the usernames, just never get around to it. Thing is, I don't regularly talk to anyone on the nyc board, so I might feel out of place. But, there's a good chance I would go.
