I'm a SC police officer assigned to a middle school and I have a new student from the Robert F. Wagner School in NYC that recently arrived here. He's reluctant to say what gangs were in his school. Also, he won't tell me much about his neighborhood of 33rd St @ 7th and 8th Av. Can anyone tell me what gangs were in this school and what gangs are affiliated with his neigborhood.

I believe that is Chelsea or the garment district no

That place has been completely gentrified, so there probably isnt a huge gang problem

Why is he being questioned in the first place? has he been a problem? is he involved in gang activity? Is it just cause he's from NY?
Something doesn't sound right?
Everyone else, remember that you don't necessarily go to the school in your neighborhood, so if the neighborhood is gentrified or not there are outside influences from all areas of NYC.
