40 Something Single Professional where?
Hi.
I wondered if someone would be kind enough to advise what might be a good bar in Manhattan to meet older, more sophisticated singles. I am a 40 something Brit male who is working in NY for a few months and still to get my bearings.
Thanks

Just quickly off the top of my head - places in mid-town East usually seem to have more of an older investment banking crowd. The Bull and Bear in The Waldorf Astoria is a good bet. When I used to work in the area, it was a usual spot for us to go after hours. Bobby Vans as well...Metrazur in Grand Central....

Try Bar 44 at the Royalton Hotel. Or The Hudson Bar in the Hudson Hotel. And be prepared to open your wallet ... WIDE! To the sophisticated and fabulous older single women you seek, going "dutch" means wearing wooden shoes. Cheapskates need not apply.
NOTE: I am not saying you are cheap. I can't, as I don't know you. I am just letting you know how it is. No offense meant.

A lot of the bars around Rock Center tend to draw older crowds...
