You missed the point entirely. Why should we think a school is good because of any of those people? If he had mentioned Tiger Woods,Colin Powell,Alan Page,or Harry Carson I would have agreed with him. It's not about race it's about character.

My thought was also not so much about the race of the alumni mentioned, but the entertainment fields in which they've achieved success. The list makes it sounds as though, perhaps, the focus of the school is rather narrow, as opposed to the LaGuardia school (which turns out more "well-rounded" performers).
