Indeed, I saw that story the other day. It is pretty funny, yet also alarming that it was so easy to transfer ownership to the reporter's fictitious company. Some sort of oversight is clearly lacking.
Honestly, who else but Fox News (the baby of Rupert Murdoch, who has already proven how well he knows how to obliterate journalistic standards with the New York Post) could possibly have presented such a story?
The New York Daily News filed fake documents and successfully transfered of the Empire State Building to a fictitious company.
Simply amazing if you ask me.
Somehow it reminds me of the sale of Manhattan Island centuries ago to the Dutch by Natives - except I don't believe documents, fictitious or otherwise, were used in that transaction.
