Somehow today while trying to drive to Ikea I wound up going through the BBT...twice (not in a row). I don't think I've ever been so out of it in my driving career.
No Brooklyn. I've never been there, and it was raining, and there was some construction that meant my navigation couldn't give me the exact directions without redirecting....it was a confluence of bad scenarios.
use mapquest and just enter the ikea address as the destination and some street near the bbt(like south street and fulton street) in manhattan as the starting point
Just to be clear, I did eventually get there, it's just that twice, once while initially trying to get there from Staten Island, and again, while trying to get home, I wound up going in completely the wrong way.
I can see where the subway wouldn't have been much help, as it doesn't go there! Next time, try catching the B61 bus in downtown Brooklyn. That'll get you to Ikea. (It's in Red Hook).
