Question about electricity and gas cost.
I have searched the forum, and I didn't get the specific answer I wanted, so I decided to make a new thread.
I am living in an apartment of a house in Brooklyn. I live on the second floor. The second floor is divided into front and rear. I live in the rear. There are total of 3 people in my household, which are me and my parents. The rent is $1050, and only heat and water are included. We have to pay for gas and electricity. We use gas for cooking and hot water. I just got our first gas bill, and it's $60 for 24 therms.
My first question is: is this an average gas cost for a 3 people household?
My second question is: is $1050 consider expensive in Kings County for 2nd floor, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room?
People who are in the same situation or have had the experience, could you please answer my questions. Thank you all in advance. By the way, if you could please also tell me the approximate electricity cost per month.
