Getting government/federal jobs in NYC (college, office, building)

I'm a recent college grad with a history degree looking to get an entry level job in a government office

To work for the Federal Government you have to take the civil service exam. And to work for NYC, go to www.nyc.gov to get information. There's an exam for those jobs, too.

You can also check for listings in The Chief-Leader, or see the same posted listings and pick up applications at the DCAS (Dept. of Citywide Administrative Services) office building on Washington Street, just above Bowling Green.

Many city jobs don't require the civil service exams; you just apply and interview like any other job.
