the fever is where everyone performed at before they got famous! the beastie boys, new edition, run dmc and ll cool j all owe thier carreers partial to the FEVER! russel simmons used to work as a promoter for the fever before getting famous. heres the fever website:

the club on queens blvd that everyone is trying to remember was called Palads.It is now goldfingers strip club but was the hottest club back in the day.

BIG AL, the guy who used to run palads now runs a small club in queens called the lemon lounge.

I remember another club on 145th St and Broadway, called Studio 84 back in the 1990s. So many big merengue acts performed at that venue. Later on, it became Studio 145, then El Vacilon, now it's Morocco.

All this 80's 90's talk.. clubs.. how can no one mention graffiti? It was the golden era of NYC street graffiti... it started disappearing from the trains and spilled onto the streets...

All those from Bayside, should recall TMR....
