Default Plenty of affordable apartments in the Bronx

I am in the middle of apartment hunting as some know, and I'm trying to stay in Far Rockaway. Out of curiosity, I clicked on the Bronx, and they have tons of places! How come people aren't moving up there in droves? I'm choosing to stay in Far Rockaway because of my fiancee's job, and she has a daughter, so switching schools may be hard right now. I work in the city so I'm more flexible, she works in Long Island. I saw a 2 bedroom in Marble Hill for $1175 with washer and dryer hookup in the apartment. Does anybody have any idea how hard it is to get into Marble Hill? Vacancies dont come around there easily. But thats just an example.

Oh... and I forgot... Marble Hill is actually in Manhattan.Well,it's not in Manhattan but it is part of Manhattan. It is in The Bronx but it is not part of The Bronx. It was born attached to Manhattan but got separated when they altered the river to create the harlem ship canal in 1895.

I wonder the same thing sometimes. Pretty sure people still have the same "Oh No The Bronx!?" type attitude. As a matter of fact let it stay how it is so the good element of the Bronx can live in peace. Best boro, that unfortunatly gets ignored way to much.
