I lived on Seneca and Norman in Ridgewood from 1973 till 1986 went to JHS 93.
Went back last summer to walk around, I walked all the way down Myrtle ave (that looked like a strip mall) I could not hear one person speaking English. Its was hispanic and other forener's speaking who knows what. Coratos pizza of Fresh Pond (Now in the Mosbachs building)was a HUGE dissappointment with reheated dried up acidic spicy slices at 12 noon....not what I remember !

Glendale looked the same especially up by Forest Park, Middle Villiage by Juniper.
Id say S Ozone park is still better then Ridgewood, transportation wise into Manhatten too
