You're playing a lot of assumptions here and bringing up a lopsided issue that has no bearing on the issue. Knock the chip off your shoulder and read the article.

The guy did something I would personally consider nuts, but as to what prompted his behavior and what far fetched racial argument can be applied to it is purely low level conjecture.

I don't think it's connections...transfer from Chicago, remember. That would indicate that it's more performance based. Plus, as long as you're licensed, it doesn't matter where one went to school for many trading jobs. It's not the same as the managerial level with higher salaries.

Lol, I was actually joking about the statement (that's why it had "lol")

Mod cut: personal attackPeople who were "living large" all of a sudded lose alittle bit of money, some property other assets and they shooting themselves in Manhattan offices (like they're not going to be able to survive). Poop or middle-lower middle class people don't do this because they KNOW how to survive through hard times as life is usually accompanied with them.

Does anybody know why he flipped out into his drunked rampage? No, but my guess is it had to do with him being unhappy about finances (once again, as this kind of story is common place).

Well a trader is not necessarily a salesman, so what would they base his individual performance on? What could he have done, by himself, that would have warranted the transfer?

Now I am not saying he definitely did nothing to warrant anything

I, personally, know nothing, and am curious about the inner workings of things

Actually, it all boils down to the length of the trader's ring finger. I'm not kidding. It's scientifically proven.

Following the logic of posters on the cameras on the street thread, I don't like the idea of measuring a ring finger to determine success.

Cameras on the street, what's next? Measure a ring finger......what's next?

Watch yourself...rents where he lives (Downtown Jersey City) are higher than where YOU live (Astoria). Get off the high horse...
